Web Design & Development specialist

Design and build a virtual office to house the engineering team. Squads need to be sectioned into their own area, each with their own meeting room (used for morning standups, WIPs and hackathons) whilst ensuring all team members have a desk.

Additionally there will be a hot-desking room to accommodate those not assigned squads and contain various general breakout areas for small, impromptu meetings. This must also include a large “all hands” room to accommodate all team members in the Design and Engineering team.

The office needs to be able to handle users that drop in and out of Gather for meetings and should allow for more desks to be added as the department grows.

The Lyka office is split into four squad rooms. Each squad features enough desks for the members in that squad, its own internal meeting room and a unique theme that stands out from the other squads.

The office is set up so the general members are able to customise their own desks only and not the wider office. This is to ensure consistency of the office look and feel. A first floor and staircase has been added to allow for additional squad rooms to be built as the engineering team expands.
